(Ad-Dukhan) 44 : 3
إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةٍ مُبَارَكَةٍ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنْذِرِينَ

Indeed, We have sent down It in a blessed night; indeed, We are always Warner.

It is told in verse 97:1 that “We have sent down It in the night of fixing the Destiny”; and in verse 2:185 it is told that Adhikr—the Repeated Reading—is sent down in the month Ramadhan. Since Adhikr—the Blessed Book for Repeated Reading—was sent down on that night, that night became blessed. Since the Impartial Lord has taught mankind Adhikr and has given freedom either to be grateful or ungrateful, it is the duty of each individual to decide his destiny—whether to Paradise or to Hell—from this world itself by utilising Adhikr—the Balance, the Criterion, and the Insight. See explanation 10:108; 16:64; and 40:40.
